TULSA, Okla. -- The Tulsa Shock have released Amber Holt and Shanna Zolman, cutting two former rotation players to get their roster down to 11 players before the start of the regular season.
Holt started 24 games for the Shock last season, averaging 6.7 points and 3.1 rebounds.
Zolman missed the 2011 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee. The former Shanna Crossley had played in 30 games, starting 16 times, and was the third-leading scorer for the Shock during their inaugural season in Tulsa in 2010.
The Shock brought in new head coach Gary Kloppenburg after winning a league-low three games last season.
Tulsa opens its season Saturday night against San Antonio.
