SEATTLE (Ticker) -- The defending champion Seattle Storm look to clinch homecourt advantage in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs when they host the Sacramento Monarchs on Thursday.

With a 78-51 win at San Antonio on Tuesday, Seattle earned the third postseason berth in franchise history. The final two playoff spots in the West remain up for grabs, with Houston, Phoenix and Los Angeles all in contention.

The Storm's Betty Lennox, who had missed six games due to injury, scored 12 points in just 14 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's win, and was one of five to score in double figures. It gave the Storm a 6-11 record on the road this year.

Seattle's final two games are at home, where they own the second-best mark (12-3) in the Western Conference behind Sacramento, which has clinched the West's top spot in the playoffs.

The Monarchs have won four straight, 11 of their last 12 and are tied with the Connecticut Sun for the best record in the WNBA.

Sacramento wrapped up a 3-0 homestand with a 76-70 win over Phoenix on Tuesday. Yolanda Griffith scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Monarchs finished their home schedule 15-2.

The teams have split a pair of meetings this season with Sacramento posting a 75-65 win over Seattle at home on Saturday. Griffith scored a season-high 26 points and Lauren Jackson collected 16 and 15 rebounds for the Storm.
