- Vote: What grade would you give Super Bowl XLIV?
- Rank: Which team is the best Super Bowl squad of the past 10 years?
- Rank: Is Drew Brees the top one-ring quarterback?
Put those Aints paper bags in the recycling bin because the Saints have won the Super Bowl. And they did it despite SportsNation saying the Colts had the better QB, the superior offense, the stronger defense, the more reliable kicker and just the overall better team.
Which play was the most vital in the Saints' win over the Colts? Was it the Saints' onside kick surprise that they served to (and recovered from) the Colts at the start of the second half? Or was it Tracy Porter's pick six off Peyton Manning? Vote and discuss below!
“Those bashing Manning need to keep in mind that he went up against a team of destiny tonight.

“I guess anything is possible, 20 years ago who would of thought the Saints would win the Super Bowl??? Guess its the Lions vs Browns in Super Bowl 2013.
” -- STOMPEM 205
“In the movies, Manning woulda led the Colts to victory. It's nice this game gave us a surprise ending rather than a Hollywood one. Didn't quite get that last year. This is what you got to like about the NFL. If there's no salary cap next year, we probably lose this.

You wanted a Colts-Saints Super Bowl, and you're going to get a Colts-Saints Super Bowl. Yet for this ultimate matchup to occur, one storyline couldn't (and didn't) go as SportsNation wished: Brett Favre winning another Super Bowl. A majority of SN said they were hoping the 40-year-old gunslinger would go out with one last Super Bowl win.
Do you think Brett Favre will give it another go next season (and the season after that, and the season after that) until he finally wins the big one again? Or will he say sayonara to his football career with this last defeat? Vote below!
“To return or not return? let the favre circus begin.

“Penalties did not cost the Vikings this football game, it was 5 turnovers. You cannot win any game with that amount of turnovers, especially when the opposition has only 1 turnover themselves. One turnover stands out, Brett Favre's int, when the Vikings all but had the game wrapped up. That INT I think will cement Favre's legacy as a QB who turned the ball over way to many times, and at the worst moments of games. ... He had the team with superior talent, as he did in Green Bay just a couple years ago.

“Anyone who can blame an entire loss on one person has no idea about what a team sport is all about! Good game for both teams! .

“16 years of watching Favre in GB....I can finally smile when he throws a pick

The Colts are headed to the Super Bowl. One more team will join them. Will it be the Vikings or Saints that punch their ticket to Miami?
Questions to think over and discuss:
Brett Favre might be the more experienced QB, but is this Drew Brees' season? Will the Superdome be the X factor that propels the Saints past the Vikings? Will Sean Payton easily out-duel Brad Childress with his play calling? Will Prince's "Purple and Gold" song jinx the Vikes? Or is Favre destined to go out with one last Super Bowl under his belt? And finally, which tortured franchise needs this Super Bowl trip the most: the Vikings or Saints?

When it came to Sunday's divisional playoff finale, all signs pointed to a Chargers' win. They were the AFC favorites. They were the team least likely to be upset by the road team. Their explosive offense was more dangerous than their opponent's No. 1 defense. Their kicker was more trusted in a game-winning FG situation than any other field-goal kicker. They were supposed to win on Sunday -- and win big.
And yet, the Jets won the game. Which factor that didn't go as planned, hurt the Chargers the most? Vote and discuss.
“Bolts choked. They drive down the field, then had 1 bad play that stalls the drive, then the kicker misses a FG. Not to mention the stupid penalties. Chargers should have blew them out but they kept them in the game by shooting themselves in the foot.

So far, so far so good for division champions not named the Cardinals or Cowboys. The Colts, Saints and Vikings -- all front-runners during the regular season -- are moving on to the next round.
Questions to think over and discuss:
Drew Brees and Brett Favre have both played out of their minds so far in the playoffs. So which QB will lead their team to the Super Bowl? Will the Saints home-field advantage be the x-factor? Do the Colts look beatable -- and can they stop this playoff season's Cinderella team, the Jets? Did the Vikings run up the score against the Cowboys? Will the Cowboys ever win a Super Bowl with Tony Romo at QB? And is Wade Phillips' job secure despite the loss?

Has there ever been a wild-card weekend quite like this one? Teams that seemed destined to lose -- won! Your team has a rookie QB (with a regular-season passer rating of 63.0)? No problem; they'll win and he'll finish the game with a 139.4 passer rating. Your team hasn't won a playoff game in over a decade? Don't worry about it; they'll win by 20 points. Your team bombed so badly in Week 17 that SportsNation deemed you the underdog and voted your team the worst division champion? No sweat; you'll miss a chip-shot field goal and still win.
I mean, did anyone see these results coming? SportsNation definitely didn't. Check out your picks:
Cowboys, Packers, Patriots, Bengals. Yikes!

More awkward look-backs:
88 percent: If there is one team that won't win on the road, it's the Ravens!
51 percent: Get your popcorn ready for the Cowboys-Eagles showdown!
43 percent: Have you seen the NFC West? The Cardinals are clearly the division champs most likely to lose!
“The streak lives on and Eagles [will] win. Packers [will] roll (like the Tide). Twin Welker shines and Pats get the close win. The "should-be Super Bowl favorites" won't make it past Wild-Card Weekend.

The Ravens are headed to Indianapolis. The surging Cowboys will head to Minnesota. The Jets will battle the Chargers, and Arizona will be facing the Saints.
Questions to think over and discuss:
Would the Patriots have won if Wes Welker wasn't injured? Will Ray Rice be as successful against the Colts' run D? How do the Jets match up with the Chargers? Will the Mark Sanchez we saw during wild-card weekend likely return? Or will the regular-season Sanchize make an appearance? Will the Cowboys' defense silence the Vikings' offensive playmakers? And did the Cardinals' Sunday performance convince you they're capable of knocking off the Saints?

The dizzying playoff "what ifs" have finally all been solved. The results? The Steelers: out. The Texans: so close, but so out (and SN, so disappointed). The Broncos: had 10 different ways to stay in, but found the one way to stay out. The Ravens: look like they should be out, but are somehow in. The Jets: very much in. In a nutshell, the two teams that controlled their own destiny today won.
Which division champion should be most fearful about their upcoming matchup? Vote!
Flashback to earlier SportsNation poll results:Wes Welker is a more vital WR than Randy Moss (What about Julian Edelman?)
Eagles will win the No. 2 seed in the NFC (... or the No. 6 seed)
We want to see the Texans in the playoffs! (Blame the Bengals)
“Texans fan here...I understand that we should not leave our playoff fate in the hands of another team...With that being said. I hate you Cincinnati Bengals. Thank you. That is all.
” -- dcrump06
“How many teams have lost as many close games as the Ravens and still made the playoffs? I'd be willing to bet not many.

Many questions emerged from the early action in the NFL today. Some things to think over and discuss:
Will the Bengals play spoiler and get the Texans into the playoffs? Or will the Jets win and hold on to their AFC wild-card spots? Will the Cowboys beat the Cowboys a thrid time in next week's NFC wild-card game? What record is more impressive than Brett Favre's nine seasons with 30-plus touchdowns or Chris Johnson's 2,000 yards?
