Zlatan woe, Russia flop and Turkey heartbreak in Euro 2016 group exits

The Euro 2016 round of 16 is set but for eight teams, the tournament is over.

The group stages of Euro 2016 are complete and for eight teams, the dream is over. Ukraine were the first to go while Republic of Ireland's dramatic winner against Italy meant heartbreak for Turkey.

Elsewhere, the curtain came down on Zlatan Ibrahimovic's Sweden career with a disappointing exit, while Russia endured a nightmare tournament.

Jakub Blaszczykowski's left-footed shot in the second half brought Poland a 1-0 win over Ukraine, with Mykhaylo Fomenko's team, already out of Euro 2016, setting an embarrassing all-time record for the highest number of games (five) at the Euros without scoring a goal.
