Denmark: Nordic countries to probe joint bid to host Euro 2024 or 2028

The Danish football federation says it will "investigate the possibility" of making a joint bid to host the European Championship in 2024 or 2028 with Sweden, Finland and Norway.

Denmark's chairman Jesper Moller says the four Nordic countries "have common values in many areas," including organising finals "with a focus on volunteerism, sustainability and well-being."

He says the four federations will "investigate and prepare a formal bid."

Hungary booked a return to major tournament football for the first time in 30 years with a 3-1 aggregate victory over Norway in their Euro 2016 qualifying playoff.

Leading through debutant Laszlo Kleinheisler's first-leg goal, Tamas Priskin struck early in the first half before Norway's Markus Henriksen scored at both ends late on in the hosts' 2-1 win on the night.

Hungary took a major step towards Euro 2016 qualification with a vital away goal against Norway.

Hungary boss Bernd Storck stressed his side's job was not yet done and called for focus in Sunday's return clash after they secured a 1-0 away victory over Norway in the first leg of their Euro 2016 qualifying playoff.

Storck's men took a step towards what would be Hungary's first major tournament in 30 years after debutant Laszlo Kleinheisler fired in the only goal of the game in Oslo in the 26th minute.

The visitors had to soak up plenty of pressure from Norway, who were denied in the third minute...
