Harry Redknapp unlikely to return as manager of Jordan

Harry Redknapp is willing to act as an advisor for Jordan but is unlikely to return as boss.

The former Tottenham manager's two-game deal finished after a 5-1 defeat in Australia on Tuesday ended Jordan's chances of reaching the 2018 World Cup.

They missed out on reaching the next stage of the Asian section by a point despite an 8-0 win over Bangladesh in Redknapp's first game last week.

China keep alive their 2018 World Cup hopes, as Australia and Japan cruise

China completed a remarkable transformation in their 2018 World Cup AFC qualifying campaign after a 2-0 victory over Qatar saw them advance to the third round on the road to Russia.

Their domination of Harry Redknapp's Jordan was testament to how far Ange Postecoglou's Socceroos have come since jolting to a shock...

Australia captain Mile Jedinak
Australia captain Mile Jedinak and the team are fully behind John Moriarty's indigenous football initiative.

The Socceroos are donating AU$90,000 in match fees from Tuesday's AFC World Cup qualifier with Jordan to help develop aspiring young indigenous players.

The donation will go to John Moriarty Football (JMF), a foundation which runs in the remote Northern Territory providing youngsters with access to coaching, match experience and education about the game.

Run by John Moriarty in Borroloola, JMF have already had significant success with 14-year-old Shadeene Evans, who started playing football as a...
