Machinations abound as Martino names first real Argentina squad

ESPN FC's Alejandro Moreno reacts to Tata Martino's decision to leave Carlos Tevez out of the Argentina squad despite his excellent form.

A few weeks after Gerardo Martino's debut, we finally get to see his first Argentina squad. It's an odd way of doing things, it's true -- but here we are. Messi, 27, captained Argentina to the World Cup final last summer and won the Golden Ball award as the tournament's best player, but missed the rematch against world champions Germany in Dusseldorf earlier in September through injury.
