Greg Stewart and Rory Loy both scored twice as Dundee kicked off the new Ladbrokes Premiership season with a 4-0 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Saturday.

Stewart opened the scoring in the 34th minute and added his second in the 78th, either side of Loy's double on his Dundee debut for a comprehensive victory.

It was a case of all hands to the pump for Kilmarnock from the kick-off, with goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald producing a handful of early saves.

Within four minutes, Dundee debutant Kane Hemmings...

A debut goal from Wes Fletcher ensured Motherwell claimed a 1-0 win over Inverness in the Highland capital on the opening weekend of the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership season.

The only goal came in the fourth minute of the game, while Scott McDonald also had a penalty saved for the visitors, as a below-par Caley Thistle side failed to break down their stubborn counterparts.

To add to the home side's woes, defenders Gary Warren and Josh Meekings were lost to injury for a team already bereft of numbers.

Hamilton were forced to settle for a goalless draw despite a dominant display against 10-man Partick Thistle in their Ladbrokes Premiership curtain-raiser at New Douglas Park.

Accies played some nice football at times and looked more dangerous in front of goal but could not find the back of the net.

They had been widely tipped for the drop before a ball had even been kicked this season.

But, despite failing to secure a deserved three points from their opening match, they will be able to take plenty...

Celtic began the defence of their Ladbrokes Premiership title with a 2-0 home win over Ross County but not without cost or controversy.

Lisbon Lion John Clark unfurled the 2014/15 championship flag before kick-off - signifying the club's fourth title victory in succession - and Leigh Griffiths started the journey to number five when he opened the scoring from the spot after only four minutes.

However, the striker hobbled off after 19 minutes with an injury which could leave him struggling for the second-leg...

Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson has again set his side the target of winning every game as they return to the top flight.

Neilson's players did an excellent job in meeting his high standards last season, winning nine of their first 10 Championship games to build momentum that led to a sensational title triumph ahead of Rangers and Hibernian.

And now we wants them to maintain their ambitions as they begin their Ladbrokes Premiership campaign at home to St Johnstone on Sunday.

Neilson said: "The target...
