Nancy secure promotion to Ligue 1 with win over Sochaux

Nancy have joined Dijon in winning promotion to Ligue 1 following their 1-0 victory over Sochaux.

The Thistles were relegated in 2013 but, after a solitary goal from Clement Lenglet at the Stade Marcel Picot boosted them 12 points clear of fourth-placed Le Havre, their ascent was confirmed.

Dijon are already sure of a top-three berth while Metz, Le Havre, Red Star, Clermont and Auxerre remain in the hunt for automatic promotion.

Ligue 1 is revamping its promotion/relegation process.

French football will introduce a relegation/promotion play-off between Ligue 1 and 2 from next season, the LFP has announced.

The club which finishes 18th in the 20-team Ligue 1 will face the side which finishes third in Ligue 2 over two legs to determine the final promotion and relegation spots.

"The Board of Directors has decided to introduced play-offs at the end of the 2016/17 season between Ligue 1 and 2,'' a statement said.

Bob Bradley spent two years managing the Egyptian national team before heading for Stabaek of Norway in 2014.

Bob Bradley has followed a fascinating career path since being removed as manager of the U.S. team in July 2011.

His first port of call was Egypt, where he stayed on as manager of the national team despite the country being caught up in the wake of the Arab Spring in 2011 and the Port Said Stadium riot in February 2012, after which domestic football was suspended for two years.

Taylor Moore, left, is currently playing for Ligue 2 side Lens.

Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Southampton are tracking England under-19 captain Taylor Moore, a source has told ESPN FC.

Moore, who spent time with the West Ham academy as a child, is currently playing at Lens after his family moved to France at the age of seven.

The 18-year-old central defender has made five appearances in the Lens first-team and progressed through the England youth ranks from U17 to U19.
