Birmingham not in financial danger, says Football League

The Football League has received assurances Birmingham are in no immediate financial danger.

The club's parent company, Birmingham International Holdings Limited, appointed receivers this month to try to end the infighting amongst board members.

They appointed Ernst and Young Transactions Limited to manage the company day-to-day and no winding up petition was filed against the BIHL and it is not in liquidation.

The BIHL board, based in Hong Kong, wanted Ernst and Young to run the company without...

Blackpool are hopeful experienced midfielder Jamie O'Hara can make the bottom-of-the-table battle with Wigan.

The Seasiders will move level on points with the Latics with victory but O'Hara (rib) is a doubt having been withdrawn at half-time during the 4-0 defeat to Brentford.

Charles Dunne was dismissed in that game and now begins a three-match suspension, but fellow full-back Niall Maher (groin) could return at the end of a week when he extended his loan stay from Bolton.

Darren O'Dea (ankle) was...

Ben Amos will start in goal for Bolton again against Brighton at the Macron Stadium.

The Manchester United loanee was given the nod in midweek at Middlesbrough because Andy Lonergan was suffering with concussion and the former Leeds stopper is still getting headaches, leaving Amos to fill the void once more.

Tim Ream (back) will train on Friday with a view to being involved, though, while fellow defender Matt Mills is available again having served a one-match suspension.

Striker Craig Davies (hamstring)...

Birmingham boss Gary Rowett may be tempted to make changes to end their winless run against Brentford.

Blues are on an eight-game streak without a victory in the Sky Bet Championship after their 4-2 defeat at Ipswich on Tuesday.

Rowett has no fresh injury worries after David Davis recovered from a knee problem to play, and score, at Portman Road.

Michael Morrison (ankle), Gavin Gunning and Matt Green (both knee) are all out.

New signing Liam Moore goes straight into contention for Brentford, who are...

Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood returns to contention for the visit of Middlesbrough following suspension.

Westwood was sent off in last week's defeat at Derby and missed the win at Millwall on Tuesday night, but is expected to return to the starting line-up.

Skipper Glenn Loovens remains doubtful due to the ankle injury that has kept him out of the last five matches and striker Sergiu Bus will be sidelined for up to six weeks after sustaining a groin injury in the warm-up at Derby last...
