Charlton Athletic sign El-Hadji Ba from Sunderland

El-Hadji Ba managing just three appearances for Sunderland during his time at the Stadium of Light.

Charlton Athletic have signed 22-year-old French midfielder El-Hadji Ba from Sunderland.

Ba has signed a three-year deal at The Valley after managing just three appearances for the Black Cats since arriving two years ago.

The 22-year-old scored on his Sunderland debut in an FA Cup clash against Carlisle but spent last year on loan at Bastia.

ESPN FC's Alejandro Moreno believes Harry Redknapp may have used the timing of the knee surgery as a smooth way out of Loftus Road.
QPR manager Harry Redknapp has resigned to undergo knee surgery.

Former Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is a "very bad manager," according to Adel Taarabt.

Redknapp resigned as manager of QPR in February after revealing he needs to undergo an operation on his knee.

Chris Ramsey was put in charge at Loftus Road but he was unable to save the club from Premier League relegation.

Taarabt, who recently signed for Benfica, and Redknapp infamously fell out at QPR, after the coach claimed the midfielder was "three stone overweight."

Hull City manager Steve Bruce reflects on where his team fell short this season as they were relegated following their 0-0 draw against Manchester United.

Steve Bruce has admitted he was lucky not to be sacked by Hull City after their relegation from the Premier League.

Hull suffered demotion from the top flight to the Championship, finishing in 18th with their 0-0 draw against Manchester United not enough to save them.

Bournemouth have had a club record bid of around £8 million accepted for highly-rated Ipswich Town defender Tyrone Mings, sources have told ESPN FC.
