Bournemouth will be without Simon Francis when they tackle Bolton looking to secure promotion to the top flight.

The right-back saw red in the 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday last time out and he will now serve a one-match ban, forcing Eddie Howe to change his side with Adam Smith likely to step into the starting line-up.

That could be the only change to the settled XI that have not tasted defeat since February.

Howe's men know victory over Bolton would mean only a virtually impossible swing in goal...

Lloyd Dyer emerged as Birmingham's match-winner in a hard fought 1-0 championship success over Charlton.

Dyer, a second-half substitute, demonstrated his shooting ability with a 20-yard angled shot in the 82nd minute which plunged plucky Charlton to only their second away defeat in six games.

Birmingham's win mirrored the success which has been generated since the appointment of Gary Rowett.

He has been inspirational and following their midweek success at Reading it was hardly a surprise that Birmingham...

Brentford kept alive their slim Championship play-off hopes with a 2-0 win at Reading - their first victory in five matches.

Alan Judge volleyed home to give the Bees a half-time lead and central defender James Tarkowski nodded in a free-kick midway through the second half to seal matters.

To reach the play-offs, Brentford need to defeat Wigan at Griffin Park next Saturday and hope the Ipswich or Derby results go in their favour.

Brentford sat in fifth place and within the play-off positions at the...

Lee Gregory's hat-trick was in vain as Derby fought back at the Den to draw 3-3 and leave Millwall's hopes of a sixth season in the Championship hanging by a thread.

Gregory's first-half double, the second from the penalty spot, had the home fans dreaming, though Tom Ince's fine free-kick gave Derby a crumb of comfort.

Another Gregory penalty moments after the break should have ended the argument but Derby, with a play-off place on the line, kept fighting, Ince winning a penalty for Chris Martin to...

Substitute Joe Lolley scored a cracking late equaliser as Huddersfield came from two down to draw 2-2.

Lolley belted a low effort into the bottom right corner from 25 yards past former Town keeper Simon Eastwood on 84 minutes.

He latched on to a loose ball in the middle after Oscar Gobern had headed the ball into space.

It came just a minute after Town had the second of two goals controversially ruled out for off-side.

Gobern played in Scannell down the left and his cross was tapped in by Nahki Wells...
