Frank de Boer has said he expects Jasper Cillessen to stay at Ajax despite reported interest from Manchester United.

Cillessen had been tipped as a possible successor to United goalkeeper David De Gea, who is wanted by Real Madrid, but Ajax said in May that the Netherlands international is not for sale.

Ajax boss De Boer has told Voetbal International he is confident he will keep Cillessen.

"He is very important to us so we do not want to lose him," he said. "I'm assuming that he stays."

Feyenoord's Dirk Kuyt targets trophies to repay fans' 'warm welcome' back

Ex-Netherlands international Dirk Kuyt has returned for his second spell at Feyenoord.

Dirk Kuyt want to reward Feyenoord fans' faith with silverware after being treated to a huge reception in his first training session back with the club.

Kuyt, 36, who played for Feyenoord between 2003 and 2006, trained at the Varkenoord complex on Thursday for the first time since rejoining the Eredivisie club on a one-year deal.

Hundreds of fans turned up to greet the former Utrecht, Liverpool and Fenerbahce forward, and the ex-Netherlands international wants to repay their welcome with trophies.

Georginio Wijnaldum has said he would now be ready to join Paris Saint-Germain a year after snubbing the interest of the Ligue 1 champions.

PSV Eindhoven midfielder Wijnaldum, 24, was on PSG's radar 12 months ago but rejected their advances and eventually signed a contract extension with the Dutch club through to 2018.

U.S. national team striker Aron Johannsson said he has down-the-road ambitions to play in Major League Soccer "at the peak of my career."

The 24-year-old AZ Alkmaar forward, who has three goals in 10 national team appearances heading into July's Gold Cup, expounded on his long-range plans in an interview Sunday with radio program "ESPN Soccer Today."

Swansea sign Sweden goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt from Heerenveen

Kristoffer Nordfeldt made over 100 appearances for Heerenveen after joining the Dutch club in 2012.

Swansea City have announced the signing of Sweden goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt from Heerenveen for an undisclosed fee.

Nordfeldt, who turned 26 on Tuesday, joins on a three-year deal and will provide competition for current No.1 Lukasz Fabianski at the Liberty Stadium.
