Leicester to win the Premier League or will Man United keep top four alive?

ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti has paid tribute to Leicester for their remarkable season.
ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti has paid tribute to Leicester for their remarkable season.

It has come down to this. In one of the greatest stories in sport, let alone football history, Leicester will be Premier League champions if they beat Manchester United on Sunday.

Just 12 months on from looking doomed to relegation to the Championship, the Foxes are on the brink of winning English football's biggest prize. It's absolutely extraordinary -- but will Manchester United spoil the party?

Louis van Gaal's men need a win to keep their faint top four hopes alive, while it's tense at the...

Southampton striker Shane Long a worthy Player of the Season contender

Shane Long has nine Premier League goals for Southampton so far this season.

Southampton supporters this week began casting their votes for the club's Player of the Year award and after enjoying the most successful season of his Premier League career, Shane Long would be a worthy recipient of the coveted prize.

Eyebrows were raised when manager Ronald Koeman paid Hull £12million to acquire Long after imploring the St Mary's board to find him an "old-style English centre forward" to spearhead his new-look side.

During his maiden season on the south coast the hard-working...

Dusan Tadic and Shane Long star as Southampton beat Aston Villa

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman discusses the strange atmosphere that surrounds Villa Park.

Dusan Tadic produced one of his best performances in a Southampton shirt in Saturday's 4-2 win at bottom club Aston Villa to keep Ronald Koeman's hopes of a European place burning bright.

Koeman had challenged his players to win all of their remaining matches to stand any chance of a top-six finish and they responded with a vibrant attacking performance, led by the excellent Tadic.

The Serbian scored two goals while the superb Shane Long and substitute Sadio Mane also found the net as Southampton,...

Leicester face Swansea without Jamie Vardy, Tottenham in West Brom battle

ESPN FC's Shaka Hislop believes the Premier League is still Leicester's to lose.

Leicester's lead at the top has been cut to five points, and they'll have to beat Swansea without Jamie Vardy if they want to keep Tottenham at arm's length.

Spurs, meanwhile, play West Brom on Monday, and in the race for the top four, Arsenal travel to Sunderland. The Black Cats remain in a relegation battle with Newcastle, who face a tough trip to Liverpool.

Jay Rodriguez the man to solve Southampton's scoring woes

Jay Rodriguez has suffered a string of setbacks since a serious injury in 2014.

Jay Rodriguez could be the man to solve Southampton's away goalscoring problems and revive their flagging European bid at whipping boys Aston Villa on Saturday.

Manager Ronald Koeman highlighted his side's profligacy on the road after last weekend's frustrating 1-1 draw at Everton when Sadio Mane's late equaliser was scant reward for having 18 shots.

Seeing as Koeman loves his teams to attack and play on the front foot it is a baffling statistic that of the 45 goals they have netted in the Premier...

Southampton left to rue missed chances in draw vs. Everton

Southampton coach Ronald Koeman says his team needed to be more clinical, which cost them points in their draw at Everton.

Southampton's bid to bring European football to the St Mary's Stadium suffered a setback as Ronald Koeman's side were held to a 1-1 draw at Everton on Saturday.

Sadio Mane scored only his second goal in 23 Premier League appearances to rescue Southampton from a defeat which would have been a massive setback to their hopes of a top-six finish.

Mane's strike 14 minutes from time cancelled out Ramiro Funes Mori's 68th minute deflected effort, but wasteful Southampton paid the price for missing a...
