Barcelona board spokesperson Josep Vives has expressed his annoyance at the kickoff time for his club's Copa del Rey final against Sevilla on May 22.

This year's Copa decider has been fixed for Atletico Madrid's Estadio Vicente Calderon, with the game set for 21:30 local time kickoff, apparently to maximise the TV audience within Spain.

The evening start does however mean players and fans of both clubs will need to travel and stay overnight in the Spanish capital, something which lead to Barca already...

Unai Emery paid the price for changing his entire team as Sevilla slumped to a 1-0 Primera Division defeat at struggling Espanyol on Sunday.

With an eye on Thursday's Europa League semi-final second leg against Shakhtar Donetsk, Emery made 11 changes to the side that earned a 2-2 draw in Ukraine last week.

And he watched a virtual reserve team beaten by Felipe Caicedo's second half strike which effectively if not mathematically secured the hosts' top-flight survival with two games of the season to...

Spanish teams dominate in Europe again this season, but what's behind it?

ESPN FC's Shaka Hislop unveils his latest power rankings, featuring a new side at No. 1.

The half-time scores are in and Spain's in the lead again. Two home wins, two away draws, no defeats. Shakhtar Donetsk 2-2 Sevilla, Manchester City 0-0 Real Madrid, Villarreal 1-0 Liverpool, Atlético Madrid 1-0 Bayern Munich: Spain 4, everybody else 0?

Two years ago there was an all-Spanish Champions League final; two years before that, there was an all-Spanish Europa League final. This year, there could be both; Milan might be full of Spaniards and so too might Basel. Not as full as they should...

Sevilla's Michael Krohn-Dehli suffers 'very serious' injury in Europa League

A late penalty kick sends Sevilla back to Spain with the away-goal advantage after a 2-2 draw in Ukraine.

Sevilla midfielder Michael Krohn-Dehli suffered a "very serious" injury in the club's 2-2 draw at Shakhtar Donetsk in the first leg of their Europa League semifinal on Thursday.

After entering the game as a second-half substitute, Krohn-Dehli received the ball in the 70th minute but upon turning fell under his own weight before defenders reached him.

The Denmark international grabbed his left knee while screaming in pain, and he eventually left the pitch on a cart.
