Bayern 'couldn't have cared less' about Freiburg loss - Paderborn chief

Bayern boss Pep Guardiola says he is counting down to a well-earned rest at the end of the season after his title-winning team were beaten 2-1 by Freiburg.

Paderborn president Wilfried Finke has joined the long list of critics of Bayern Munich after their defeat at Freiburg, telling kicker: "They couldn't have cared less."

Freiburg recorded their first win against Bayern Munich in 19 years, while Wolfsburg netted two goals to defeat Dortmund at home.
Freiburg's Bundesliga survival hopes received a significant boost as they beat Bayern Munich 2-1 on Saturday, while Borussia Monchengladbach secured their spot in next season's UEFA Champions League.

Hamburg goalkeeper Rene Adler has admitted the club's fate is "no longer in our hands" as they bid to avoid relegation from the Bundesliga for the first time in their history.

Six clubs could still be relegated from the German top flight going into the final round of fixtures on Saturday.

Hamburg, the only club to have played in all 52 seasons of the Bundesliga, need three points in their match against Schalke -- but even a win might not be enough to avoid the drop.

A last-gasp own-goal broke Paderborn hearts and pushed them ever closer to relegation from the Bundesliga as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Schalke.

Despite dominating for much of the game, the East Westphalians were unable to find a goal and they were punished in the 88th minute when Uwe Hunemeier turned the ball into his own goal as he challenged Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

The defeat leaves Paderborn at the bottom of the Bundesliga and three points adrift of automatic safety with one game to go - at home...
