Paris Saint-Germain remain on course for a domestic treble after beating Monaco 2-0 to reach Coupe de France semifinals on Wednesday.

Former Chelsea player David Luiz gave PSG the lead in the third minute, and striker Edinson Cavani grabbed his 18th goal of the season to make it 2-0 after 52 minutes.

The teams had met in the French league on Sunday, when PSG missed a glut of chances in a 0-0 draw which only served to highlight the absence of top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic -- who missed both games...

Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva has named three young Brazilian defenders he believes will follow in his footsteps to star in Europe.

After an injury-hit start to the Ligue 1 season, Silva has recently recaptured the form that earned him as reputation as one of the world's best defenders.

Though the 30-year-old remains a formidable barrier to opposing strikers, Silva can already see those coming through the ranks back in his homeland.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has stated that his approach to his side's Coupe de France quarter final against Monaco won't be different, despite playing out a 0-0 draw with the same opposition on Sunday.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc has told Edinson Cavani that he needs to start showcasing his goalscoring ability more consistently for the club.

Cavani, 28, has scored six goals in seven Champions League outings this season, but found the back of the net only eight times in 24 Ligue 1 appearances for the French champions.
