UEFA lifts Man City and PSG spending restrictions after FFP targets met

UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino has announced changes to financial fair play regulations, but insisted the previous rules had been successful in their aim.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have had their restrictions on transfer spending and Champions League squad size lifted after meeting their financial fair play targets, UEFA has announced.

City and PSG were ordered to play in last year's Champions League with only 21 players in the squad and spending on new signings in last summer's transfer window was capped at £49 million as punishment for breaching FFP rules.

Benoit Tremoulinas joined Sevilla from Dynamo Kiev last year.

Sevilla full-back Benoit Tremoulinas has told RMC he is flattered by interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

With Lucas Digne expected to leave the Parc des Princes this summer, Tremoulinas, 29, has been mentioned as a potential replacement to provide quality backup for Maxwell at left-back.

Tremoulinas only signed for Sevilla from Dynamo Kiev last year, earning himself an international recall from France coach Didier Deschamps thanks to his performances in the Spanish top flight.

The news that Paris Saint-Germain have been waiting for looks as if it has finally arrived, after L'Equipe reported on Wednesday that UEFA have lifted the financial fair play restrictions on the French champions.

Kevin Trapp is a man in demand.

Eintracht Frankfurt's coach Armin Veh wants the future of goalkeeper Kevin Trapp decided quickly after he was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Trapp, 24, has been linked with a move to the French champions with Eintracht wanting a transfer fee of around €10 million for the German. However, Veh is not prepared to disrupt his preparations for the new season with a training camp in Austria starting on Saturday.
