Nantes defeat Lyon in Coupe de France, US Quevilly shock Bastia

The efforts of Alexandre Lacazette were not enough as Lyon slumped to a 3-2 defeat to Nantes.

Ligue 1 leaders Lyon were dumped out of the Coupe de France in the last 32 after a 3-2 defeat to Nantes.

Vincent Bessat scored a hat trick for Les Canaris, including an 89th-minute winner. The prolific Alexandre Lacazette had given Lyon an early lead but Bessat scored twice in three minutes and then had the final say after Nabil Fekir had equalised.

Fourth-tier US Quevilly, shock finalists in 2012 and semifinalists two years earlier, were at it again as they beat top-flight Bastia 3-1 on penalties.

That was achieved thanks to defender Silva's close-range effort in the 73rd minute, although they were given a let-off in stoppage time when Jordan...

Nantes came into the game on the back of league wins against Bordeaux and Lorient and had the game's first chance when Issa Cissokho released Alejandro Bedoya down the right before...
