Italy international Gabbiadini's second-half strike means Napoli have the advantage in the second leg.

Manolo Gabbiadini's away goal in the first leg of Napoli's Coppa Italia semifinal with Lazio handed his side a slender advantage before next month's decider.

Veteran striker Miroslav Klose gave Lazio the lead after 33 minutes at the Stadio Olimpico, latching onto Felipe Anderson's sumptuous through-ball before slotting it underneath Mariano Andujar.

But holders Napoli hit back to make it 1-1 through Gabbiadini. The Italy international, who arrived from Sampdoria in January, tapped home Gonzalo Higuain's...

Lazio president Claudio Lotito under fire for criticism of Italian football

Claudio Lotito has been criticised for his comments about the running of Serie A and Serie B.

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has said that Lazio chief Claudio Lotito thinks he is above the law after a row broke out over comments the latter made in a recorded telephone call.

Lotito was heavily critical of the running of Serie A and Serie B, suggesting that clubs such as Carpi, Frosinone or Latina would have no right playing in the top flight of Italian football, and if they were to be promoted then it would cause a catastrophe.

Juventus president Beppe Marotta previously condemned the...

Government should intervene after Claudio Lotito claims - Beppe Marotta

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri says his side won't let their upcoming Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund distract them from their domestic duties.
Genoa earn their first win in 8 matches after Lazio fall to 10 men 27 minutes in following a red card issued to goalkeeper Federico Marchetti.

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta has called on the Italian government to shake up the power structure of Italian football.

His comments came after Lazio president Claudio Lotito claimed the presidents of the Lega Serie A and Serie B do not do any work and called Serie B chief Andrea Abodi "a cretin."

Pino Iodice, the sporting director of third-tier side Ischia, recorded a telephone conversation with Lotito in which the Lazio president made his remarks.

Lotito also said that if clubs such as...
