Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola would not be drawn on how many goals he expects his side to score against Cologne on Friday night, insisting that his priority is simply to pick up three more points.

Bayern have beaten Hamburg 8-0 and Paderborn 6-0 in their last two games and people are already speculating on how many they will put past Cologne, with a win apparently a foregone conclusion.

But Guardiola is not paying attention.

``I've got a great deal of respect for our opponents,'' Guardiola said...

Cologne and Hannover shared the spoils in an entertaining 1-1 encounter on Saturday evening which nevertheless would not have satisfied anybody but the neutral spectator.

With both sides struggling for form, only a win would really have helped them in their respective attempts to move clear of the relegation zone or close in on the top six.

An own goal from Timo Horn gifted Hannover an early lead but Anthony Ujah netted Cologne's first goal at home since December to earn his side a point with both...

Cologne ban 'Boyz' fan group members after pitch invasion

Cologne have banned a group of around 40 fans from attending matches in future as a consequence of a pitch invasion at the end of Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Bundesliga club have identified the trouble makers, who all belong to the same fan club, and voided their season tickets while issuing "indefinite" stadium bans.

A statement posted on Cologne's website read: "Cologne justifies these drastic measures with the repeated misbehaviour of the 'Boyz' fan group, which is damaging...

Masked Cologne supporters wearing white overalls stormed the pitch after Granit Xhaka's injury-time winner for 'Gladbach, leading to violent scuffles that left several security staff and one police officer injured. Two arrests were made and some fans were identified.

Borussia Monchengladbach left it late to clinch their third 1-0 win of 2015 and take local bragging rights in the Rhineland derby against Cologne.

Granit Xhaka struck in second-half stoppage time to earn Lucien Favre's side victory as the Swiss coach marked four years in charge of the club in style.

Cologne defended for much of the 90 minutes, but their resistance was broken in the last few moments as they fell to a rare defeat on their travels, where they have picked up 16 of their 24 points this...
