Danny Ings' Liverpool transfer fee from Burnley may go to tribunal - sources

ESPN FC's Craig Burley questions whether the signing of Danny Ings is another cop out by Brendan Rodgers, while Gab Marcotti asks the question as to what Rodgers will do with the vast amount of attackers he has in the squad.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has wasted no time in adding to the acquisition of James Milner, with the signing of Burnley's Danny Ings.

Liverpool are facing the prospect of a tribunal in order to settle a dispute with Burnley over the fee for striker Danny Ings.

Ings, 22, agreed a move to Anfield on June 8, but the details of the transfer have still not been agreed by the two clubs, sources have told ESPN FC.

Even though Ings' contract at Turf Moor expired on June 30, Burnley are still entitled to compensation for him because he is under 24.

Liverpool have offered around £6m for the England under-21 international, while the...

Burnley sign Matthew Lowton on three-year deal from Aston Villa

Matthew Lowton, who made 82 appearances with Aston Villa, has signed for Burnley.

Matthew Lowton has become Burnley's first signing following their relegation to the Championship.

The 26-year-old right-back, a product of Sheffield United's academy, has left Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee after agreeing a three-year deal at Turf Moor.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche told his club's official website: "Even back to his days at Sheffield United, I always thought Matt was a very good player and one who I think is motivated to go again.

"He has been at a big club in Aston Villa and wants...

Tottenham complete Kieran Trippier signing on five-year deal

As the fixture list for the new Premier League season is released, fans will be counting the days until August 8th.

Tottenham have completed the signing of Burnley defender Kieran Trippier on a five-year contract.

The 24-year-old right-back, who is believed to have had a £3.5 million release clause, leaves Turf Moor after four years.

"When I first...

Kieran Trippier close to joining Tottenham from Burnley

Kieran Trippier is reported to be available for £3.5 million due to a release clause in his contract.

Burnley right-back Kieran Trippier appears close to joining Tottenham after Clarets manager Sean Dyche confirmed the transfer was an "active deal."

Trippier, 24, has been linked with a switch to Mauricio Pochettino's men following Burnley's relegation from the Premier League last season.

The Clarets have already lost 11-goal striker Danny Ings to Liverpool and now Trippier, who was an ever-present for Dyche's side in the top flight and contributed four assists, could also follow him out of Turf...

Liverpool negotiating Danny Ings compensation ahead of Burnley exit

ESPN FC's Craig Burley questions whether the signing of Danny Ings is another cop out by Brendan Rodgers, while Gab Marcotti asks the question as to what Rodgers will do with the vast amount of attackers he has in the squad.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has wasted no time in adding to the acquisition of James Milner, with the signing of Burnley's Danny Ings.

Liverpool and Burnley remain locked in talks over compensation for striker Danny Ings but claims the Clarets could be entitled to a record fee at tribunal appear unlikely.

Liverpool announced the capture of Ings, whose contract expires at Turf Moor on June 30, on Monday.

However, because of his age (22) the Clarets are entitled to financial recompense and have already rejected an opening offer of £4 million.

Press Association Sport reports the two clubs are miles apart on their valuations as...
