Barcelona confirm €25m agreement to sign Lyon's Samuel Umtiti

Samuel Umititi is currently with the France squad at Euro 2016.

Barcelona have agreed a €25 million deal for Lyon defender Samuel Umtiti, club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has confirmed.

Lyon owner and chairman Jean-Michel Aulas had said on Wednesday that Barca had an "exclusive agreement" for France international Umtiti, 22, but added that talks were ongoing.

Speaking at a news conference on Thursday, Bartomeu said: "Barca have reached an agreement with Samuel Umtiti for the fixed sum of €25m.

Report: Ex-Barcelona defender Dani Alves owes €1.3m in back taxes

Dani Alves set his sights on winning the UEFA Champions League with Juventus after joining the Italian title winners from Barcelona.

Juventus defender Dani Alves is alleged to owe €1.3 million to Spain's tax authorities according to a new list of tax evaders released Thursday by Hacienda, Spanish news agency Efe reports.

Alves' taxes were due Dec. 31, 2015, according to the tax agency. The former Barcelona right-back was included on a list of 4,768 people or groups who owe a total of €15.7 billion in tax money.
