Atalanta fended off a late Cagliari comeback to record their first victory of the season in Sardinia on Sunday afternoon.

Marcelo Estigarribia and Richmond Boakye had given the Bergamaschi a 2-0 lead after 67 minutes played at the Sant'Elia stadium.

Biabiany's transfer from Parma to AC Milan, which was confirmed earlier in the day, broke down after Cristian Zaccardo refused to move in the opposite direction.

Milan had reached an agreement with Parma and the player, who passed his medical and was photographed...

Hellas coach Andrea Mandorlini opted to play with Bosko Jankovic in support of veteran striker Luca Toni, whose 20 goals proved crucial in helping the Verona outfit finish 10th in Serie A last season.
