Mattia Destro has taken to Facebook to announce that he is on his way to AC Milan.
The Roma striker is set to sign a contract with Milan on Thursday evening, joining on loan for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent move in the summer.
Destro, 23, said he had decided to accept an offer made by Rossoneri general manager Adriano Galliani.
He wrote: "Thanks Roma, I was only a little boy and you made me become big.
"This is where I discovered that Love with a capital L really does exist....
Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman will undergo knee surgery this week as he waits to discover whether he suffered ligament damage during the weekend's Serie A game against Fiorentina.
Strootman was substituted after 34 minutes of the 1-1 draw after taking a knock to the same knee that was operated on last year, with that surgery keeping him sidelined from March until November.

AC Milan's general manager Adriano Gallliani says Mattia Destro will decide by Thursday morning if he will leave Roma for the Rossoneri this winter.
Destro, 23, has struggled to find a regular starting berth in the Roma side this season given the form of captain Francesco Totti.
However, he is the Giallorossi's second-highest scorer behind Adem Ljajic with five goals in 16 appearances -- Totti has netted four in 15, albeit starting more frequently than Destro.
