Dimitar Berbatov linked to Everton, boss Roberto Martinez stays silent

LIVERPOOL -- Everton boss Roberto Martinez has said he does not need to sign a striker to replace Samuel Eto'o, refusing to comment on a report linking Dimitar Berbatov with a move to Goodison Park.

Lille meanwhile slipped to a second consecutive defeat after their recent good form had moved them away from the relegation zone.

The home side had the first chance as Nolan Roux freed Franck Beria on the left but his shot took a deflection off Joao Moutinho and looped...

French youth academies should adapt to avoid injuries - Leonardo Jardim

Jardim is without Geoffrey Kondogbia after the Monaco youngster picked up a thigh injury.

Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has expressed his surprise at the number of injuries suffered by young French players and suggested a change in youth academies is required.

Jardim is currently without Geoffrey Kondogbia, 21, and Tiemoue Bakayoko, 20, due to thigh injuries while Layvin Kurzawa, 22, has only recently returned from a similar problem.

The 40-year-old coach, who took over at the Stade Louis II last summer after spells in his native Portugal and Greece, has helped last season's Ligue 1 runners-up...
