Milan stay over Leicester move was 'right choice' - M'Baye Niang

M'Baye Niang had a goal and an assist as AC Milan picked up a crucial win over Inter Milan to move within two points of fifth place.
M'Baye Niang celebrates his goal against Sampdoria.

AC Milan forward M'Baye Niang has no regrets about his move to Leicester City falling through this winter, insisting that he always preferred to stay in Italy.

Niang, 21, is challenging for a place in the Europa League with the Rossoneri, rather than pushing for the Premier League title with the Foxes after Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri chose not to follow up with a bid for the France under-21 international.

"Staying with Milan was the right choice," Niang said in La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I...

Despite dominating for large periods of the game, the Rossoneri came up short in their bid to overturn their deficit after Pablo Armero came back to haunt his former side by giving the Zebrette the lead. M'Baye Niang equalised for the hosts but a winner was not forthcoming.

Udinese checked AC Milan's rise up the Serie A table by holding the Rossoneri to a 1-1 draw at San Siro.

Former Rossoneri defender Pablo Armero made life difficult for Sinisa Mihajlovic's men, who had been pursuing a third straight win, with his first-half opener and Milan struggled to respond.

M'Baye Niang did fire an equaliser shortly after half-time but the hosts had missed an opportunity to close the gap on the nearest Champions League place to just four points.

Armero's goal arrived in the 18th...

Juve's Paulo Dybala could have joined AC Milan but for Galliani - Zamparini

Paulo Dybala has been superb since moving from Palermo to Juventus.

AC Milan missed out on the signing of Paulo Dybala due to the "antics" of their general manager Adriano Galliani, according to Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini.

Zamparini says that the Rossoneri were in pole position to sign Dybala, who has since scored 12 goals for Juventus after joining them last summer.

Galliani's games saw Milan miss out and Zamparini has warned him to be more careful if he wishes to sign Franco Vazquez from Palermo at the end of the season.

AC Milan did not offer me Sinisa Mihajlovic's job - Marcello Lippi

ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti and Alexis Nunes look back on an eventful weekend in Serie A including the Milan derby.
M'Baye Niang had a goal and an assist as AC Milan picked up a crucial win over Inter Milan to move within two points of fifth place.
The ESPN FC crew answer your tweets on Steve McClaren's future, big clubs' interest in Alan Pardew, Aston Villa and more.

Marcello Lippi has categorically denied that he was approached by AC Milan to replace Sinisa Mihajlovic as their coach.

Lippi's name was one of many being linked with the Rossoneri hotseat when Mihajlovic's future was in doubt just a few weeks ago.

Three wins and a draw from their last four league matches have lifted some of the pressure off the Serbian coach, and Lippi says there was never any contact between him and the Serie A club, even though he has stated his desire to return to the game.

"For...
