It's just about time for our lakes here in central Florida to start turning over. What this means is the bottom layer of water comes up as winter approaches and the water mixes. However, it's still hotter than ever. The bass fishing's been pretty tough, but I have been enjoying some redfishing over on the coast in Mosquito Lagoon. It's not as bad as it sounds, really.

My son Bobby Jr. has been tearing up the bream and bluegill off the dock. Every once in a while an 8- or 9-pounder will grab one of the hooked bluegill from under the dock, and it's a hoot seeing a 2-year-old hanging on for dear life. I'd pit him against any other toddler in a bream fishing contest.
