In the Black Hills of South Dakota there is a gigantic sculpture paying tribute to four former presidents — George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. Notwithstanding the several controversies surrounding Mount Rushmore or the selection of presidents it memorializes, it's an amazing piece of art, and it got me thinking about which four luminaries should grace such a tribute if we could ever build one for the sport of bass fishing.

Honestly, the first three people to be honored on such monument came quickly and easily to me. They were no brainers, and I'd like to think that just about everyone out there would agree that they would be cornerstones of such a tribute. I'll list them chronologically here.
