With nearby Bassmaster record-breaker Lake Tohopekaliga in Kissimmee, Fla., and the much-publicized Kissimmee Chain of Lakes stealing the headlines for years, the sheer abundance of quality bass waters in and around the resort city of Orlando have never received their due.

There are said to be some 2,000 lakes in the shadow of the area known as the home of Walt Disney World, Sea World and countless other tourist attractions. In fact, there are a surprising number of quality bass fisheries that remain underutilized in the Orlando metro area despite its population of more than 1.8 million.
