ESPN's "SportsCenter," the ultimate news show for sports junkies, will soon have a sibling when "BassCenter" lights up TV screens Jan. 1, 2005. The new show will anchor a 52 week block of programming branded BASS Saturday on ESPN2.

"'BassCenter' is the first and only derivative program of 'SportsCenter,'" noted Julie Sobieski, Director, TV/Media Platforms. "BASS Saturday programming will infinitely raise the bar on TV bass fishing shows. The focus will be to provide passionate anglers with a full morning of tips, techniques and entertainment they'll find nowhere else on television. If bass fishermen want to learn more about every facet of the sport, then BASS Saturday will be their one source for tapping into the ultimate resources of information on TV."
