Shallow sonar

An overlooked tool

In a shallow water environment like the Louisiana Delta, bass anglers might not attach much significance to sonar use. After all, a 7 ½-foot flippin' stick jabbed down into the water could probably deliver just as much depth information.

Even Kevin VanDam wouldn't argue the point. No, he would merely smile and then go out and win the Bassmaster Classic doing precisely what many anglers did not.
