A Leg Up?
Bassmaster Staff Report
Topwater swimming FROGS have become a staple in the arsenal of many Bassmasters. Its superweedless nature and action allow fishermen to use this bait in a variety of covers and under many conditions. A host of manufacturers have added some form of swimming frog to their lineup, however the newest offering from Gene Larew may just give anglers another leg to stand on.
The Three Legged Frog has, as its name implies, a trio of appendages protruding from the rear of the bait: two normal legs and another between the two. The extra leg creates more of a disturbance on the surface of the water. Interestingly, you can remove the middle leg for a normal presentation, or remove the two outer legs for a very subtle buzzing action.
The body of the Three Legged Frog is made of a floating plastic, while the legs are molded of a sinking material. For more information on the Three Legged Frog, contact Gene Larew at 918-272-7337 or

Become A Wrangler Angler
Bassmaster Staff Report
If you like wearing Wrangler jeans but find them a bit confining and warm for a June day on the water bass fishing, the company has some good news for you. The new Rugged Wear Angler Shorts have been designed with bass fishermen in mind.
Although these new breeches come in denim, you'll want the cotton version they are lighter and cooler, plus the weave is tight enough to repel water if some splashes on you. The waistband is elastic, there are plenty of pockets to stuff with gear and there’s even a kill-switch loop sewn in. For more information, go to www.wrangler.com.
