A friend of mine and I went fishing on a farm pond, and we were alarmingly unsuccessful. It was a cloudy day and the weather was mild, not too hot. It had also rained heavily the day before when I'd caught three or four good fish with as many strikes. The next day we arrived at 6 a.m. and my friend caught three good fish and then the action stopped. The water was dramatically cooler than the previous day and there were no full moons during the period. What would you think the reason the day was a dud?
