If Blake was simply the finishing touch to the Sharks' offseason plan, then this wouldn't be as big a question mark.

The Rangers hope there's something left, especially if Naslund ends up being the de facto new Jagr. If Naslund is Jagr's stand-in, that's definitely a move that's Off Broadway. Read more

He comes with all sorts of baggage, but Stars assistant GM Brett Hull has some history with Avery, thanks to their shared time in Detroit and should act as a nice buffer. The only question is whether Big D is ready for Big Sean. Read more

Zetterberg will be unrestricted at the end of the 2008-09 season and GM Ken Holland will have to open his wallet, so the one-year deal gives both Hossa and Holland room to move.
