Overall: Brackins signed a letter of intent with Troy State coming out of high school. However, he didn't receive his diploma in time to enroll so he enrolled at Feather River Community College in 2002 where he played basketball for a year. Brackins enrolled at Pearl River Community College in 2003 and he caught 45 passes for 772 yards and nine touchdowns that year. He caught 55 passes for 1,117 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2004. Brackins, who had been expected to enroll at Florida State, would have benefited from another year of school  particularly at that high of a level. Not only would it have given him the opportunity to refine his technique, it also would have made it easier to evaluate compared to much more talented competition. That said, Brackins has the size, athletic ability and hands to develop into a contributor at the wide receiver position ...
