Overall: Williamson led the team in receiving touchdowns (4) as a true freshman in 2002 and was named to the All-SEC Freshman team. He was a fulltime starter for the Gamecocks as a sophomore in 2003, when he led the team in receptions (31) receptions and receiving yards (428) while also chipping in with two touchdowns. Williamson finished his junior season in 2004 with 43 receptions for 835 yards and seven touchdowns and led the SEC in yards per reception (19.4). Williamson had impressive production in a run-oriented scheme while at South Carolina. Rather than sticking around for a new coaching regime with Steve Spurrier, Williamson elected to bolt for the NFL following his junior season, which was his most productive at the collegiate level.
