Overall: Rodriguez led the WAC in tackles three of his four seasons at UTEP and he had his most complete season as a senior in 2004, when he finished with 121 total tackles, 16 TFL, 3.5 sacks and one INT. He also made the most of his opportunity at the East-West Shrine game and proved to be one of the more athletic and fluid linebackers participating in practice that week. Rodriguez doesn't have great size and he may never be more than a reserve player in the NFL. He also fits best as a WLB and may need to move outside in the NFL. However, he has the athletic ability, toughness, speed, tackling skills and coverage skills to make an NFL roster as a late-round developmental nickel linebacker-type and special teams' contributor.
