Overall: Jones appeared in all 12 games during his freshman season in 2001 and he appeared in all 12 games of the 2002 season. He has been a fulltime contributor since his junior season in 2003 and he finished his senior season in 2004 with 27 receptions for 345 yards and three TD's. Jones got off to a fast start as a senior but his production tailed off considerably in the second half of the season. He has adequate size and is a strong and physical receiver that isn't afraid to go over the middle and will give a great effort as a blocker. However, even though he ran well at the combine, he does not translate that speed to the field. He does not have explosive burst as a route runner or after the catch, and he also is too inconsistent to rely on as a possession-type starter. In ...
