Overall: Stubblefield redshirted in 2000 before starting seven games as a redshirt freshman in 2001. He suffered a setback in 2002 when a non-football related accident resulted in a fractured skull that forced him out of the first three games of the season. He bounced back as a junior in 2003, however, finishing with 86 receptions for 835 yards and three touchdowns, and he was one of the nation's most productive receivers as a senior in 2004, finishing with 89 receptions for 1,095 yards and 16 TD's. The Senior Bowl was a big week for Stubblefield from a legitimacy standpoint. Everyone knew how productive he was in Purdue's wide open passing attack and also saw him dominate just mediocre talent in the East-West Shrine game.
