Overall: Birmingham played running back, wide receiver and kickoff returner for the majority of his first three seasons at Arkansas, seeing action in all 11 games in 2001, all 14 games in 2002 and all 13 games in 2003. He played the majority of 2002 and 2003 at WR but switched back to RB fulltime in 2003 because of injury and remained there in 2004, when he finished with 456 yards and three touchdowns on 111 carries. Birmingham also had 17 receptions for 175 yards, 10 KOR for 217 yards, and 17 PR for 115 yards as a senior in 2004. Birmingham was essentially a utility player in college, as he played running back and wide receiver on offense and also handled the majority of the return duties throughout his career.
