Overall: Purify had 157 carries in 2001 and 132 carries in 2002, and he also led the Colorado running backs with 21 receptions as a junior in 2002. He basically played a backup role to Chris Brown (Titans) at Colorado in 2002 before being granted a medical redshirt season in 2003 because of an ankle injury. He bounced back healthy as a senior in 2004, when he finished 1,097 yards and nine TD's on 231 carries. He also had 206 yards on 20 receptions. Purify bounced back healthy as a redshirt senior in 2004 and was able to carry a full load without suffering a major injury. Purify is a "slasher" that runs hard and also has very good hands as a receiver out of the backfield.
