Overall: Beck played in 10 games as a true freshman in 2001, when he led the team with 73 tackles. He led the team in tackles in each of his four years as a fulltime starter. He broke the school single-season record for tackles as a junior in 2003 with 128 and then broke his own record as a senior in 2004 with 138. Beck also had 18.5 TFL and four INT's, two of which he returned for touchdowns. He was Cal Poly's first Buck Buchanan Award winner as best defensive player in Division I-AA. Beck played in the East-West Shrine game and also attended the combine, where he had a solid all-around workout. Beck played inside at Cal-Poly State but his best fit in the NFL will be at WLB.
