Overall: Brooks redshirted in 2000 but has been an every-game starter since. He has not missed a start during that span (2001-'04) and he has shown versatility as primarily a guard who has moved to tackle on occasion when injury has necessitated it. He started all 46 games of his career. Brooks' best fit in the NFL will be at guard. He does not have overwhelming bulk but he does have good quickness and above average speed and strength. He has great experience, was a productive player at the collegiate level and has the physical tools to become a starter in the NFL. However, he simply has never played to his capability and there is a lot of concern that he will "cash it in" once he starts collecting his paycheck in the NFL.
