Overall: Baas redshirted in 2000 and played in six games (starting one) as a redshirt freshman in 2001 before taking over as a fulltime starting left guard as a sophomore in 2002. Baas was been a starter and All-Big Ten selection at left guard from 2002-'03. He began his senior season at left guard but moved to center for the final nine games of 2004. He worked out both as a center and guard at the Senior Bowl and as a center at the combine. Bass is a versatile OC/OG prospect with great experience, size, strength, toughness and technique. He has the best height/weight combination of the center prospects and also has above average lateral movement skills and balance. Bass' 29 reps on the bench press are impressive, as are his speed and agility numbers from the combine. In our opinion, Bass is a better center prospect than he is ...
