Overall: Hedgecock was a four-year starter at North Carolina. Her made 11 starts at FB as a true freshman in 2001 and started the first six games at FB in 2002 before moving to DE for the final six games. He started 11-of-12 games at DE in 2003 before moving back to fullback as senior in 2004. He finished his senior season with 30 carries for 118 yards and two touchdowns. He also had four receptions for 35 yards. Hedgecock got more carries than expected as a senior due to injuries in the TarHeel backfield, but he is essentially a glorified offensive lineman at the fullback position. He is not much of an athlete and he does not offer much as a receiver or runner, but he is one of the best blocking fullbacks in this year's class.
