Overall: Crochunis redshirted in 2000 and played in a rotation as a redshirt freshman in 2001 before taking over as the fulltime starting nose tackle for Pittsburgh in 2002. He started all 13 games for the Panthers as a junior in '03 and finished with 55 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. He returned as a 12-game starter as a senior in 2004 and finished with 43 tackles, 7.5 TFL and 2.5 sacks. Crochunis has decent size and the frame to get bigger. He basically played as a penetrating nose tackle role throughout his college career. He has a nose for the ball, shows good initial quickness and flashes some playmaking skills versus the run.
