Overall: Maddox has been a starter since his sophomore season in 2002 after playing as a reserve in his '01 true freshman season. He led his team with 129 tackles as a junior in '03 and also had 9.5 TFL, two sacks and six PBU. As a senior in 2004, Maddox missed one game due to injury and finished with 40 total tackles, three TFL, two sacks and one PBU in 10 games played. Maddox played the "rover" position in college and is a SS prospect for the NFL. He has better straight-line speed than most expected but his lack of quick-twitch athleticism and fluid hips make him a liability in man-coverage and limits his range somewhat in zone coverage.
