Overall: Davis originally enrolled at Florida State in 2001 but he attended and played at Jones Junior College (MS) in 2001 and 2002. He then transferred to Florida State in 2003, appeared in all 13 games that season and finished with eight tackles for loss and two sacks. David made terrific strides from his junior to senior season. He emerged as a starter in 2004 and had 20 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and five sacks in 11 games played, missing one because of injury. Davis' potential is somewhat limited by his lack of height and inability to change directions quickly. He also has problems anchoring against the run. However, he is still capable of developing into a quality "wave" defensive end type in the NFL.
