Overall: Cody played in nine games as a true freshman in 2000 and earned a starting job at defensive end as a sophomore in 2001, but left the team to deal with a medical condition (clinical depression) after the season opener and wound up using his medical redshirt that season. Cody returned healthy as rotating backup in 2002 before regaining his starting position as a junior in 2003, when he led the Sooners with 10 sacks. He started slow as a senior in 2004 but came on strong in the second half and finished the season (13 games) with 16 TFL and 10 sacks. Cody is on medication to treat his depression but it has seemingly had no effect on his play the last two seasons and doctors tell Cody that it should continue to be a non-factor.
