Year of the QB transition?

What's the big quarterback story this season?
The big story right now is the movement towards the younger quarterback. There are QB competitions and transitions going on in San Diego, New York (Giants) and Pittsburgh. In some cases there are going to be transitions during the season.

One place I see that happening is in New York, where veteran Kurt Warner has been given the job over rookie Eli Manning. That arrangement won't last through the end of the season, because Warner isn't the quarterback he was when he won two MVP trophies. My prediction is Manning will be starting around midseason and will start to blossom towards the end of the season.
