Bucs need upgrade at RB
Pittman lost six fumbles last year and has had some problems staying on the field. Garner has sustained season-ending knee injuries each of the last two years, and at 33 he is on the downside of his career.

Improving a rushing offense that finished 29th last year is a priority, so adding a back who has the size, speed and burst to make an immediate impact makes sense. Tampa Bay tried to fill this need through free agency by signing Michael Pittman in 2002 and Charlie Garner last year, but neither move has worked out.
