Scouts, Inc. has evaluated the rosters and salary-cap situations of all 32 NFL teams. With free agency approaching and draft right around the corner, here's how each NFC South team stacks up as it heads into the offseason.


2004 record: 11-5 (first place)
During the season the Falcons extended the contracts of their two-best players – QB Michael Vick and TE Alge Crumpler – making their offseason a little less complicated. Still, there are challenges ahead.

The offensive line was a plus last season, but there isn't a great deal of talent there. OG Roberto Garza and backup OG Steve Herndon are unrestricted free agents, and OT Kevin Shaffer is a restricted free agent. The Falcons would like to bring back Garza at a decent price, and the up-and-coming Shaffer likely will be tendered and offered a multiyear contract.
